Onion Rings [side dish]

Making onion rings is super easy and goes great with sea food.


Preparation:
  • In a bowl add 2 cups milk and 1 egg and whip.
  • Slice 2 onions (red onions are preferable because its sweeter in taste) in one inch rings, and pop them out.
  • Soak your onions in the milk and egg mix for 30 minutes minimum.
  • In another bowl make a mix of dry ingredients, add 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup corn starch and a 1 tsp of salt. Also put in a separate bowl bread crumbs.
So Far You Should Have 3 Bowls:
  1. milk and egg mix
  2. flour, corn starch and salt mix
  3. breadcrumbs

  • After soaking your onions, one at a time dip into the flour mix, make sure its coated all over. Dip it back into the milk and than lastly dip into the bread crumbs
  • Repeat with all the onion rings. (They should be dipped twice).
  • From the milk to the flour to the milk and than lastly to the breadcrumbs.
  • Fry them in couple inches of hot oil till golden brown.
