This is the 2nd butter chicken recipe I am sharing,
to also view the previous one

This is more of a traditional recipe,
that most people use and it is much easier.
Most ingredients can be found locally.

I don't know but I love the sauce!
Especially eating it the next day,
it takes amazing.

PARATHA RECIPE

CHICKEN MARINADE

Chicken fillet cut into cubes
2 copped onions
Olive oil
Red masala
Lemon juice
Crushed garlic
Grounded cumin
Tumeric
Tomato puree/Grated Tomato
Little yellow food colouring

  • Braise the onions in the olive oil till close to golden.
  • Next a bit of the masala and cook for a few minutes.
  • Add the chicken and cook on low heat.
  • Add grated tomato or tomato puree and a little aromat.
  • 15 minutes before serving add 250ml of fresh cream and 2 - 3 Tb yoghurt.
  • Sprinkle some garam masala and stir well.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander.

GREEN YOGHURT CHUTNEY

Plain yoghurt
Green chillies
Fresh coriander

  • Blend together well and sever chilled.

GARLIC PARATHA

1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 Tb full butter
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
Yoghurt (around 1/4 cup or around less)
Green Masala (freshly chopped coriander & ground green chillies)

  •  Mix all the ingredients together, be careful when adding the yoghurt add them slowly. When it comes to green masala add 1 - 2 tsp depending on how you like that.
  • Knead the dough very well and make small balls.
  • Allow to stand for 1 hour.
  • Roll out slightly thick and fry in a medium heated pan like you would for rotis, chapatis or tortillas.

100g butter
diced garlic
chopped fresh coriander

  • Heat up the above 3 ingredients.
  • Brush over the hot parathas after taking them off the pan right away.
  • Serve hot.

    1. You can substitute red masala for fresh red chillis ground up or if you want the power one try paprika :) garam masala is great really enhances flavors, it has all of the main Indian spices together.
