The days are passing by so quickly it's so hard to come up with what to make.
I thought I'd make steak, but I was so tired of the same old recipes
I decided I needed to change it up a bit.
So I got asked around, got sent some recipes,
got some inspiration and did my own thing lol ... as usual
This was a hit with the family
yay!
I did go a bit heavy handed with the chilies,
as you can see in my video lol however that's how I like it.
Now for this dish I accompanied a new side I tried

I find sweet potato generally pairs so well with steak,
however I think there should be a balance with dishes and sides
(if one is on the grilled side one has to be saucy).

- INGREDIENTS -
2 TB Red Chili Paste
1 TB Green Chili Paste
2 tsp Red Chili Powder
1 tsp Turmeric
1 tsp Cumin
1 - 2 Tsp Robertsons Meat Tenderizer
2 Tb Tomato Sauce
3 - 4 Tb Calistos Gold Edition Peri-Peri Sauce
2 Tb Nandos Bushveld Braai Sauce
3 Tb Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tb Vinegar
Salt To Taste
* Please note sauces can always be substituted for ones you find locally.
- METHOD -
- Take your fillet steak and tenderizer it first before marinating for 3 - 4 hours.
- Add some water, you want this dish to be saucy and gravy should be thick when serving.
- Cook the steak on a low heat, I try not to over cook my steak but it's up to your preference on how you prefer your steak.
- While your steak is cooking, I went on to make some sweet potato fries which I have linked above. The recipe is on my blog as well as the video is on my youtube channel.
- Once your steak is cooked you can serve it with your sweet potato fries and drizzle with some of the extra sauce.
