Lemon Butter Kebabs (RAMADAN SAVOURY)

Friday, June 05, 2015

Now usually, we shape them differently, more like how we did the carrot kebabs but we could make all our kebabs look the same so we tried a different way. Now as much as we all lie traditional chicken mince kebabs its always nice to add some variety to your food menu and this is a great way to do so.
Now as you know I am posting 3 savoury recipes a week; Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
And, its kebab week! So this is the 2nd recipe I am sharing with you all. Remember, I will update each post during ramadan so you can see how it looks when its cooked, also I will give the lemon butter sauce that accompanies this kebab.

1 Kg chicken mince
Medium sized grated onion
Red Chilli Powder
Ground dry coriander
Ground cumin
A Lot of fresh coriander
1 egg
Chopped Spring Onions
2 Slices of soaked bread (soaked in water - squeeze the water out before adding it to the mix)
Green Masala/Paste (Ground green chillies and coriander)

  • Bind all the ingredients together and shape into whatever you want.
  • You can store into tupperwares or styrofoams like we used and store in the freezer.
  • When you want remove a couple of ours before frying the kebabs and make a lemon butter sauce.

Freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • Use a generous amount and bring to a boil on the stove.
  • After the kebabs are fried serve by drizzling on the kebabs.
