Now at home this is called "Choti Mummy's Tukras" and its a home recipe that my mum and nani (granny) love to eat so today I shall be sharing it with you all. I hope you enjoy, if you have a similar recipe or a different version of tukras please head over to my facebook group and share with everyone so they can try something new as well.

1 kg chicken fillet cubed
1 Potato cut into small cubed (half boiled)
Ground green chilli
Salt
1 egg
Bread soaked in milk (1 -2 slices)
2 Dessert spoons of sojee (semolina - check spice shops or in the ethic side of the supermarket)
Grated cheese

  • Mix all well in a big bowl.
  • Grease a baking tray and pat the mix down flat so its around 1 inch or a bit more in height.

  • Bake at 180 degrees till golden and down.
  • Cut them into even cubes - like you would cut up brownies.
  • Store in a tupperware in the freezer, you can take them out and fry any time.
  • To fry first dip them in egg and than breadcrumbs, and fry in hot shallow oil till golden brown.
