Spicy Fried Chicken Recipe
Wednesday, November 08, 2017
So I actually made this recipe yesterday for Lunch
and I decided to record it.
So the video is down below,
but also subscribe to my youtube because I will be making more videos.
Anyway so everyone has their version of Spicy Fried Chicken
and this recipe is one my aunty shared with me
but I like to change the spices here and there.
- CHICKEN INGREDIENTS -
1 Full Chicken (cut into pieces)
1 Tb Red Chili Powder
1 - 2 tsp Turmeric
1 tsp Ground Dry Coriander
2 - 3 Tb Mayo
1 - 2 tsp Robertsons Dry Chicken Spice
1 - 2 tsp Calisto's Peri Peri Braai Spice
1 - 2 tsp Tomato Paste
Salt To Taste
Breadcrumbs
Eggs
- METHOD -
- Marinate your chicken for around half an hour to an hour.
- Add to a pot with little water and cook on low till 3/4 done.
- Remove of the heat and take the chicken out of the pot putting it aside to cook.
- Once cooled down it's time to coat your chicken in egg and breadcrumbs. I repeat the coating twice so it can be extra crispy.
- Fry the chicken in shallow oil till golden.
- Serve your spicy fried chicken with some salad or coleslaw as well as the quick chutney mentioned below.
- CHUTNEY -
2 - 3 Tb Plain Yogurt
1 - 2 tsp Freshly Ground Green Chilies (green chili paste - note the paste include freshly ground coriander)
1/2 tsp Mint Sauce
Salt To Taste
It is so easy to pin a recipe you like right onto your pinterest boards,
simply click on the picture and it will automatically take you to pinterest.
When you share the picture the link shares as well,
which makes it easier for you and any one else to find the recipe.
- COOKING VIDEO -
I hope you enjoyed this Spicy Fried Chicken Recipe.
Like I said I like to change up some spices just so I can add a different flavour
which is why I tried the Calisto Spice in this recipe.
If you cannot find Calisto Spices locally,
you can substitute it with any dry peri peri spice or bbq spice.
Keep up with me on my other social media sites,
I am more active there:
