Sweet Potato Fries Recipe
Wednesday, November 22, 2017
So I was always intrigued by this side-dish and I always wondered how it would taste.
You never know till you try, so I took a chance and decided to try it out.
I checked out a few recipes online to get a feel of how it's usually made
before attempting it myself.
I must say I was pretty impressed and I love it as a side-dish.
I think it would accompany any steak dish beautifully.
The recipe I tried it with was a Saucy Chili Fillet Steak Recipe,
which I shall be posting next so stay tuned for that,
anyway this sweet potato fries recipe works amazingly with steak and mutton.
- COOKING VIDEO -
You never know till you try, so I took a chance and decided to try it out.
- INGREDIENTS -
4 Sweet Potatoes
3 TB Olive Oil
1 Tb Ground Black Pepper
2 tsp Robertsons Dry Parsley
3 tsp Red Chili Powder
1/2 tsp Cumin
Salt To Taste
- METHOD -
- Wash your sweet potatoes and cut the ends off, before cutting them into chips.
- Coat them with the ingredients mentioned above. Red chili and cumin are optional, depends on your spice preference.
- Preheat your oven at 200 Degrees Celcius.
- Now line a baking tray with aluminum foil, before placing your sweet potato fries on the tray.
- Pop it into a hot oven, turning the heat down to 180 Degrees Celsius.
- Cook for 15 minutes before removing the tray out of the oven and turning all the sweet potato fries.
- Once all of them are turned place back in the oven for another 15 minutes.
- Serve hot with your preferred meal.
- NOTE -
Personally I'd like mine crisper than how they turned out, I saw a suggestion online to add corn starch/flour to the coating which will make the sweet potato fries crispier while they're in the oven.
It is so easy to pin a recipe you like right onto your pinterest boards,
simply click on the picture and it will automatically take you to pinterest.
When you share the picture the link shares as well,
which makes it easier for you and any one else to find the recipe.
I do hope you enjoyed this sweet potato fries recipe,
like I mentioned before it's a perfect quick side dish to make.
If you're a bit nervous to try it I understand, I was the same,
but take a chance plus the seasoning can be however you prefer this is one I came up with.
I also hope you enjoyed the video,
I do hope to make more and I am trying.
