Hmm 10 minute dough...seems suspious!
But this dough recipe actually really surprised us,
because it stayed soft for days and it's super versatile!
I mentioned down below the few ways you can use this dough recipe,
so check my suggestions.
I personally love it for rolls to serve with soup,
and now that it's winter it's definitely a go-to.
- INGREDIENTS -
2 cups warm water
4 Tbsp sugar
10g yeast
2 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 Tbsp milk powder
1/2 cup oil
3 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder (optional)
- METHOD -
- Firstly, mix together the warm water, sugar, yeast, flour, salt and milk powder.
- Leave this mix aside for 10 minutes and preheat your oven at 200 Degrees Celsius.
- Next, combine in the oil, flour and baking powder, and knead into a dough.
- In a greased baking pan, roll into small balls and place in the pan.
- Brush over when egg, this will ensure your bread comes our golden as it bakes, you can also top with mixed seeds (poppy seeds, sunflower seeds, fennel seeds, flax seeds, sesame seeds etc).
- Next, place your pan into the oven and turn the heat down to 180 Degrees Celsius.
- Leave to bake for 15 - 25 minutes till done, keep checking. You can grill the top to give the dough a nice golden.
- It's best served hot!

Love this recipe, tried it yesterday for cinnabons as an after Tarawee dessert with tea and it came out yummy! The dough was so light and still soft. Jazakallah for sharing and for having a print and download option on your recipes it makes it so much easier to stay organised.
ReplyDeleteAww that's awesome! You're welcome :)
Deleteis it a total of 5 cups of flour. and you first kneed the 2 cups let it rise and once risen you add the 3 cups of flour and oil to the risen mixture
ReplyDeleteYes, you if want to make a smaller batch of dough you can half the amount.
DeleteHi so you just knead it and then let it rise for 30 minutes, then shape it and bake immediately ? Or do you let it stand for sometime after you shape it?
ReplyDeleteYou can if you want to, this dough is super flexible, so it will bake nicely either way.
DeleteI do not have any milk powder. What do I do
ReplyDeleteI have heard you can substitute it for milk, but I have never tried that so it's not something I can confidently recommend to you. If you're looking for another dough recipe, I've shared another previously which you can check out. https://www.spicyfusionkitchen.com/2018/06/2-ingredient-dough-bagels-recipe.html
