Who doesn't like a good stirfry?
It's super easy to make,
and it's a great Monday meal,
when you're so lazy to cook but you kind of have to.
We experimented with steak instead on the usual chicken and I must say,
it really tasted good,
twist on a simple dish.

Works for chicken as well, just make sure to not use meat tenderizer in the marinade,
and you're good to go.

INGREDIENTS

Italian Salad Dressing
Freshly Cut Veggies (you can substitute with Hawaiian Stir-fry (sometimes we use this if we're in a rush and so on, we use the one without mushrooms)
Steak Strips
Red Chilli Paste
Ginger and Garlic Paste
Turmeric
Cumin
Coriander
Salt and Pepper
Steak and Chops Spice (Robertson's)
Meat Tenderizer (Robertson's)
Soya Sauce
Worcester Sauce
Italian Knorr Dressing
Green Chutney (ground green chilies and fresh coriander - paste)
Boiled Egg Noodles
Red Chili Powder
Garlic Sauce
Sesame Seeds

METHOD

  1. Heat in a wok the Italian dressing 250ml if you're 1kg - 2kg worth of steak.
  2. Add the Hawaiian Stir-fry again you should use fresh veggies, just be careful not to stir-fry for too long as they will lose their crunch.
  3. Remove from the wok.
  4. In advance make sure you steak is marinated in advance, marinate your steak stripes in turmeric, red chili paste, ginger and garlic paste, cumin, coriander, salt, pepper, steak and cops spice and meat tenderizer.
  5. Cook you steak stripes in the wok, when close to done, add the veggies.
  6. Next, add the boiled egg noodles and mix well.
  7. Than, add your soya sauce, Worcester sauce, Italian Knorr dressing, add a little green chutney and garlic sauce.
  8. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and steam before serving.

stirfry, chicken stirfry, steak stirfry, noodles, spicy food, spicy, chicken, steak, food blog, Asian fusion* If you cannot find Knorr dressing, you can use the same Italian salad dressing you used in the starting, to save don't use the entire bottle in the starting leave a little for the ending.
* If you like mushrooms you can chop some into the mix.
* I would say the best tip is to keep a packet of Hawaiian Stir-fry in the freezer, its a life saver to make a quick stir-fry when you have unexpected guests or a different meal didn't go the way you expected.

* You can substitute steak with chicken (same spices minus the tenderizer) if that is what you prefer a lighter meal.

* Also for a more unconventional touch add seasoned, fried potato chips, give a toss and serve hot (goes with both steak and chicken).

  4. Zainab - This looks awesome. I just wish I could enter the laptop screen and finish all of it. I make it the easy way by getting a stir-fry pack, cooking chicken tikka flavoured chunks and boiling speg. It's very easy and quick.

    1. Yeah it's the cheat way lol we also do that sometimes, we either do the fresh way and keep the ready packed veggies for stirfry which is perfect when unexpected guests show up or forgot to cook etc. haha if only that were possible!

    1. Haha it actually is quite healthy, especially if you use organic veggies (don't over cook), and if you use less oil and meat. Good luck with the diet!

    1. It was so random because usually we make with chicken and the one time we tried with steak it was a completely different dish in flavor wise.

    1. I love french salad dressing on noodles as well, I add a some green chutney (fresh ground green chillies and coriander) to it as well and mix, it gives a lovely mix. This combo goes well for a cold noodle salad as well.
