OH MY WORD!
This is hand's down my favourite dessert ever
and it shows because we've made this so many times since Ramadan.
Now I don't know where the recipe originally came from,
all I know it's a Portuguese Dessert,
but that's also strange because when I researched for it nothing came up.

Bride's Cushion Dessert
is a sweet, soft and delicate dessert that is very easy to make.
You can make it in a big bowl or individual servings.
Perfect for summer because it's a cold dessert and not heavy.

  1. Crush the packet of marie biscuits and keep aside.
  2. Next, whip your fresh cream till it's stiff.
  3. Slowly fold in the condense milk. Personally I didn't use the whole tin because it would be super sweet, I used around 3/4 of the tin
  4. With the boiling water add in the halaal gelatine and whisk well before leaving to cool for 5 minutes before adding it to the cream mixture.
  5. Now in your pyrex dish or individual serving dishes put a layer of the crushed biscuits, than add the cream mixture, than a layer of biscuits and cream again - you can add some grated chocolate in each layer as well.
  6. Drizzle the melted chocolate on the last cream later and add the mini marie biscuits on top.
  7. Place in the fridge for a few hours so it can set before serving.

    1. Thank you so much! It's a Cadbury chocolate which is milk chocolate on the bottom with white milk chocolate on top. You can just substitute it with normal milk chocolate and white chocolate.
