Now on to the recipe,
What to make for Friday Lunch?
Again trying new rice dishes is what my family is all about.



Steak Rice a constant repeat in my family,
it is missing one thing...peas!
Literally no peas all over town hmph 
and I love peas lol


 - STEAK RICE INGREDIENTS -


Cubed Steak
1 Onion - Grated
2 Tb Green Chilies 
2 Tb Red Chilies
2 tsp Turmeric 
1 Tsp Ground Coriander
2 tsp Meat Tenderizer 
1 Tomato - Liquidized 
1 tsp Tomato Pureé 
Salt To Taste 

Boiled Rice 
2 Potatoes - cubed semi thick and fried
Green Peas - boiled/steamed
Dhay - milk/sour milk. green chilies, salt

- STEAK RICE RECIPE METHOD -


  1. Marinate your cubed steak with green chilies, red chilies, turmeric, ground coriander, meat tenderizer and salt over night.
  2. Fry your grated onions in some olive oil till it's golden brown, before adding your marinated steak and a cup of water.
  3. Leave to cook till it's tender, add in your liquidized tomato and 1 tsp tomato pureé.
  4. Continue to cook, you can add some water but leave to cook and make sure it stays saucy. 
  5. When  your steak is cooked garnish with fresh coriander.
  6. Serving time, plate everything together and enjoy.

  5. Oh I have never marinated the cube steaks...usually make the sauce and add them in...will have to give this way a go and see how it is...looks delicious

    1. I love marinating before hand, the meat fuses with the marinade beautifully when it's left to chill for a bit. Do give it a try and I will give your method a try too, thank you so much :)
