Bride's Cushion Dessert Recipe

OH MY WORD!
This is hand's down my favourite dessert ever
and it shows because we've made this so many times since Ramadan.
Now I don't know where the recipe originally came from,
all I know it's a Portuguese Dessert,
but that's also strange because when I researched for it nothing came up.

Bride's Cushion Dessert
is a sweet, soft and delicate dessert that is very easy to make.
You can make it in a big bowl or individual servings.
Perfect for summer because it's a cold dessert and not heavy.

- BRIDE'S CUSHION DESSERT INGREDIENTS -
1 Packet Marie Biscuits600ml Fresh Cream385g Nestlé Condensed Milk (Large Tin)
1/3 Cup Boiling Water
2 1/4 Tsp Halaal Gelatine
- TOPPINGS -
1 Slab Top Deck (half grated half melted)
1 Packet Mini Marie Biscuits
- METHOD -
- Crush the packet of marie biscuits and keep aside.
- Next, whip your fresh cream till it's stiff.
- Slowly fold in the condense milk. Personally I didn't use the whole tin because it would be super sweet, I used around 3/4 of the tin
- With the boiling water add in the halaal gelatine and whisk well before leaving to cool for 5 minutes before adding it to the cream mixture.
- Now in your pyrex dish or individual serving dishes put a layer of the crushed biscuits, than add the cream mixture, than a layer of biscuits and cream again - you can add some grated chocolate in each layer as well.
- Drizzle the melted chocolate on the last cream later and add the mini marie biscuits on top.
- Place in the fridge for a few hours so it can set before serving.

Wow i can't believe how simple this dessert is. It also looks super cute in individual servings. The name of the dessert looks like it will be perfect for a Hen party, or henna party.

DeleteWow Masha'Allah this looks lovely, almost reminds me of Tiramisu! Sorry I need to ask....
ReplyDeleteWhat is Top Deck?
Thank you so much! It's a Cadbury chocolate which is milk chocolate on the bottom with white milk chocolate on top. You can just substitute it with normal milk chocolate and white chocolate.
