With the green chilli in the recipe,
it gives a kick to the otherwise normal recipe.
Recipe credit to Nazrina Joosub from Treasury Foods.
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 Tb full butter
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
Yoghurt (around 1/4 cup or around less)
Green Masala (freshly chopped coriander & ground green chillies)
Mix all the ingredients together, be careful when adding the yoghurt add them slowly. When it comes to green masala add 1 - 2 tsp depending on how you like that.
Knead the dough very well and make small balls.
Allow to stand for 1 hour.
Roll out slightly thick and fry in a medium heated pan like you would for rotis, chapatis or tortillas.
100g butter
diced garlic
chopped fresh coriander
Heat up the above 3 ingredients.
Brush over the hot parathas after taking them off the pan right away.
I will go as far and say hands down this is the most amazing ice-cream in the world. Mum makes this all through summer in like bulks cause we all eats so many bowls a day lol don't judge. Recipe credit goes to family friend Farhana Desai. I would say that having an icecream machine makes it so much easier to make, and you nowadays get super affordable ones, and small ones as well so you don't have to go all out and buy a huge one. Also I will say married couples check your wedding gifts maybe you got one and didn't even know and its like stored in the back of the cupboard, yes that is what happened to my mum.
When cool than add; the eggs, nestle cream and condense milk and beat well.
Make it in the ice-cream maker.
Top with black and white sprinkles when serving.
Any questions feel free to ask, I know woolworths is in Southern Africa and England, not sure about the rest of the world so you can substitute and use licorice sweets from the sweet shop, just make sure they taste like licorice and are soft enough to melt easily.
Hey, I’m Zainab — cooking (and eating) is how I embrace my chubby cheeks, and bring a little joy to the kitchen! I love blending flavours, spices, and cultures to create recipes that are as fun to make as they are to eat. Think bold spices, fusion twists, and meals that are fancy enough to impress but easy enough to whip up any day of the week.
Every recipe I share is something we’ve actually eaten at home — no food styling fakery here (well, maybe just a bit of garnish magic). My step-by-step photos and videos walk you through every stage, so whether you're a kitchen newbie or a seasoned pro, you’ll plate up something delicious and beautiful in no time.
